Coral Mission embarks on a noble endeavor: the restoration of coral reefs and marine life in the beautiful Maldives islands. Guided by three primary objectives, this project aims to revive the ocean's vitality. First, the team diligently replants mature coral colonies, giving them a new lease on life. Secondly, they skillfully relocate aquatic species, ensuring their safety and well-being. Lastly, the project establishes artificial coral nurseries, nurturing these vital organisms.

To guarantee a lasting impact, the Coral Mission team meticulously plans and executes their initiatives. During relocation, utmost care is taken to safeguard the corals and animals from harm. Identifying suitable transplantation sites becomes paramount, as these areas must provide a conducive environment for thriving, without causing damage to existing habitats or disturbing wildlife populations.

Exploring the depths, divers primarily focus on shallow waters of up to 20 meters. However, they encounter challenges such as swells and changes in visibility. Despite these obstacles, the team has already dedicated over 280 hours underwater. Their efforts have resulted in the successful relocation of 1,150 corals and the installation of 21 artificial structures that serve as new homes for these remarkable organisms.

Coral Mission harnesses advanced technology and leverages resources from partner organizations. Their team of marine biology and conservation experts spearheads this remarkable endeavor. Moreover, they warmly welcome the assistance of volunteers, working in collaboration with local communities and the government to ensure the long-term sustainability of their work.

In this race against time, Coral Mission stands as a beacon of hope, striving to restore the mesmerizing beauty of the Maldives' coral reefs and marine ecosystems.
